Share your work
Share your work so the people looking for you can find you - Austin Kleon
There’s a compounding effect that comes with sharing your work online. You increase your opportunity for “good luck,” you get to meet really cool people, and eventually, once you’ve built an audience, it makes distribution for future projects 10x easier. I’ve realised that doing really cool stuff and then shamelessly showing it off is one of the highest-leverage things you can do to increase your chances of succeeding.
Writing online is my attempt at sharing my work. There’s an anonymity to it that I like, but it also feels extremely personal at the same time.
My advice to anyone eager to share their work online but feeling blocked: find a method of sharing that feels authentic to you, like writing does for me. And remember, there’s a world of people out there who love your work and deeply resonate with your worldview, but they can’t find you because you haven’t made yourself findable.
